Parkrun:
26 members ran the 3 lap course at Newark to help celebrate its 9th Birthday as well as the jubilee celebrations.
First over the line was Dale Mordue in a time of 21mins 5 seconds, closely followed by David Haynes in a time of 21mins 18 seconds. The first lady over to finish was Marilyn Hatherley in a time of 29mins 17 seconds.
There was some great fancy dress out on display – Newark parkrun was lucky to have the queen tail walking for the day!

2 of our ladies ran the out and back very hilly summer course at Belvoir Castle. Angela Brown finished in a time of 34mins 29 seconds, and Kirsty Watson completed the course in 34mins 44 seconds.

Also well done to anyone that gave their time up to volunteer at parkrun or junior parkrun. These events could not go ahead without the volunteers.

Other achievements:
Breeze Rowlands completed the LDWA trans Pennine 100. A 100 mile walk with over 19,000ft ascent. Breeze completed this in a great time of just over 39hrs.

On Sunday 5th Sue and Steve Needham ran at North Muskham Jubilee 5K fun run around the village. They completed this in a time of 36mins 23 seconds.

Sorry if I have missed anyone this week. Well done all who ran at the above events or just out on your own. Don’t forget that this week is Gordan Whelbourn week!
Also a reminder that there is no parkrun or Junior parkrun this weekend.
