Parkrun
18 club members ran a parkrun on Saturday 25th June. 12 members ran the course at Newark.
Nick Harrison was the first club member back over the finish line in a time of 29mins 51. The first female back was Netty who was pacing 30 minutes on the day.
Mark Hawkings finished in a time of 37mins 23 secs a PB by 21 seconds – a first PB since September 2019. The average time for the 12 people that ran at Newark was 39 mins 5 seconds.

Karen Borrill travelled up to the peak district and ran the Monsal Trail parkrun and completed this in a time of 41mins 39Secs.
Simon Lock ran around Clumber Park in a time of 20mins 26secs which was a course PB. Well done Simon.
Over in Jersey Steve and Sue Needham ran in a time of 38mins and 8 seconds.
John Miller travelled east and ran at Kings Lynn in a time of 30:17.

Other running
On Saturday 25th while wife and mum Karen ran parkrun Richard and Amy took on the Maverick peak district run – a 28km run. Amy completed this in a time of 03:35:52 and Richard completed in a time of 03:59:57. A great Saturday for the Borrill family!

Sunday 26th saw the latest round Sheffield run a 13.1 mile segment run around the city of Sheffield, Chris Redhead (01:48:44) Peter Lane (02:04:00) and Annette Taylor (02:19:35) completed this run. Apparently there was beer and great cake at the end so maybe that will encourage more to take part in the future!
